Personal mobility equipment includes manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs and scooters. Every piece of equipment that Gator Custom Mobility, Inc., vends is “customized”, adjusted and fitted, to meet each individual’s needs. We treat each client independently because we recognize that abilities differ.

Client assessments

GCM has certified seating evaluators on staff to assess each client’s needs. We provide recommendations for equipment based on physical and mental requirements, home and work environments, and transportation needs (how will the equipment be transported via vehicle). After the initial evaluation, equipment is ordered and adjusted in-house to meet our client’s specifications.

Advanced adaptive services

GCM has the training and expertise to design the most sophisticated vehicle adaptations and specialty drive controls for wheelchairs and scooters. Fiber optic controls, infrared sensors, and proximity switches can enable the most advanced clients to gain the ability to drive a powered wheelchair. GCM offers the most advanced adaptive equipment available in today’s market. Our staff attends manufacturer’s training seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest technology.
